Taken by the guy with the British swagger, making the long distance thing work.
I’m so proud.
Well I wouldn’t say that just yet now.
Still, you’re still thinking about it! This is improvement.
I think I’m starting to like the sound of it..
I’m so proud.

Maria smiled even wider as the door opened, expecting to see Andrew. However, she was not disappointed with what she did see. “Liam!” she said as she pulled the boy into a hug. “I missed you so much!”. He began calling Andrew’s name like a madman, which just made Maria even more excited. She laughed as Andrew came into view, which just made her smile even wider. “ANDREW!!” she practically screamed. She smiled against his lips as he kissed her, frowning for a millasecond when he pulled away. Her frown quickly changed back into a smile though, because she was so excited. “I thought we needed a change of scenery.” she explained, intertwining her fingers with Andrews. “Plus, I haven’t seen Liam in forever. And I miss London. And I just needed to hear some awesome accents, you know me” she said with a slight laugh. Maria wiggled her arms to bring the attention towards them “I finally got my arms back, so I thought why not make a surprise visit? They’re always the best kind of visits anyways. Much better than planned ones.” Maria and Andrew had a thing for movie-like-moments in their relationship. It was awesome.
“I like it. I like having you here. That means Liam can stop harassing me about taking him to New York.” Andrew said with a laugh as he squeezed Maria’s hand lightly. As Maria proudly displayed her fully functioning arms, he chuckled fondly, closing the door behind her. “Yes, I do enjoy this surprise visit. But now I feel bad having nothing planned to do. I was just going lounge around until my visit to you since finals are all over.” He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “But, I think I’ll like the spontaneity of everything that goes on during your visit here. Should be fun, right?”
Maria smiled and bent down to mess up Liam’s hair, “You should bring him down to New York. That would be awesome. If only I had a kid living with me. Then it’d be perfect for him” she said with a laugh. She walked over to her carry on bag and pulled out a jar of Nutella, venturing into the kitchen to grab some spoons. “Please, we never really plan things on our visits” she said over her shoulder, “Plus, I don’t mind just being lazy for a bit. It’s nice to not have to worry about school anymore. And, I can cook you guys some amazing meals. Culinary school really pays off” she said with a flick of her spoon, before burying it in the jar of Nutella. She took the spoon out and stuck it in her mouth, “Mm, so good” she mumbled. “It’ll be tons of fun. If you’re up to it, why don’t we go for a walk? Have a little photo shoot perhaps?” she said, a smile coming onto her face.
“Liam, can you get the door?” Andrew called downstairs to his younger brother who he knew was watching Skins downstairs in the living room instead of finishing his homework. He smiled when he heard him let out a loud sigh of exasperation, knowing he was going to answer the door. When Liam yelled back up to him, repeating his name too many times for Andrew to count, a bit of panic ran through him and he quickly tugged his shirt over his head and ran down the steps to see Liam bouncing happily on his heels and Maria standing in the doorway with a grin on her lips. A wide smile spread onto Andrew’s face and he moved to the door, quickly taking the bags from her and setting them on the floor of the foyer before pulling Maria into the house and kissing her soundly.
After he pulled away, he smiled softly at her. “You’re here. What are you doing here? I thought I was going to go down to New York and spend the summer with you there? Not that I’m complaining just. I wasn’t expecting this. And it’s making me so happy.”

“Watch your step!” the flight attendant warned passengers as they exited the plane. “Watch your step, miss” she said to a certain clumsy brunette, “I will thanks-” Maria said back, tripping over the step and falling flat on her face, gaining many strange looks from other people. “And of course I fell” she mumbled to herself as she got up and brushed off her yoga pants. “I’m good, I’m good” Maria announced to everyone who had stopped to make sure she was okay. “Just getting used to using my arms again..” she explained, even though it really made no sense to anyone here seeing as they didn’t know she just got out of casts. She gave the flight attendant a slight smile and made her way down the terminal. Maria grabbed her bags off of the baggy thingy and made her way out of the airport. She sighed as she stepped out the doors, and smiled to herself. London. One of her favourite places to be. All the people with cool accents made everything sound better than it actually was.
Maria got out of the taxi in front of a familiar house and made her way up the steps. She had timed it just right, and knew that Andrew would be home at this time. She pulled her hair into a messy bun and dragged her bags up the walkway, stopping at the door and ringing the doorbell, waiting with a huge smile on her face.
